One of the core components of the program is to "make Electric Vehicles the easy choice", which will be primarily a marketing and consumer-facing educational and outreach campaign across the state.

Project EDGE is a NYPA program aimed at creating new business models and energy services to bring distributed energy resources to customers through using data and predictive analytics. NYPA Project EDGE is seeking an intern to work on contributing to the functionality of our in-house, proprietary economic model which calculates the estimated value of a distributed energy resource (DER) on a specific customer's property. The tool uses customer information, technology specifications, and information on how NYPA can monetize project value to estimate the true value of an asset to the grid, as well as what NYPA can monetize on behalf of the customer.

Grid Flexibility, one of several large-scale initiatives aimed at investing resources to catalyze New York State’s transition to a cleaner, more efficient energy system. Grid Flexibility's goal is to thoughtfully support New York's transition to a more distributed grid with increased sophistication from both the supply side (different types and sizes of generation) and demand side (more informed and empowered end-users of energy).
