NYPA provides a dynamic work environment, rich in history and culture, that empowers each individual to bring their authentic selves to the workplace. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that foster and encourage employee engagement and participation throughout NYPA. Each ERG has dedicated workstreams to critical business drivers, allowing for direct impact on the business. These workstreams are: Recruitment & Retention, Talent Development & Mentoring, Engaging in Power & Utility and Community & Philanthropy.

Women in Power

Women in Power develops exceptional leadership skills and enables employees to achieve their maximum potential in an inclusive and challenging work environment that celebrates diversity.

 

Veterans

NYPA supports military and veterans by identifying opportunities and challenges faced by this group and providing a successful transition into civilian life through education, resources, and fostering an inclusive culture.

Eco Team

The Eco Team is a grassroots employee resource group that develops a deeper awareness of the benefits of sustainability through events like educational seminars, personal development, consumer choice and the EcoCinema Film Series.

Generations

The Generations employee resource group provides engagement opportunities which facilitate the building of employee relationships across the different generations throughout NYPA to create a more satisfying and efficient work environment.

 

Pride in Power

The NYPA Pride in Power ERG is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive work environment in which Pride in Power employees are able to reach their full potential. We believe our success is built upon attracting, retaining, supporting and growing our most valuable asset – our employees. NYPA’s Pride in Power Employee Resource Group will serve as an information resource on issues concerning the Pride in Power community and their families. We promote awareness and a better understanding of what it means to be Pride in Power at NYPA and help promote an inclusive environment for Pride in Power employees without concern or fear.

Multicultural

The vision of the Multicultural employee resource group is to create an inclusive environment that welcomes, respects, develops, and leverages our individual differences as a competitive strength.  Central to this is the belief that the key to success is diversity of thought and the ERGs goal is to create a space where employees can share common interests and bring their entire selves to work.
