Intern - Controls / Electrical Engineering


Lewiston, NY, US


The primary project will be to verify the integrity and validity of electrical drawings being prepared for construction of electrical bay upgrades in the Niagara switchyard.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities the intern will walk away with after this internship

Will be able to identify details on electrical drawings, what they do and why.

Knowledge of how power system control circuits work and how they are constructed.

Ability to "yellow line" a drawing package ahead of construction.

Education, Experience and Certifications

 A Rising Senior working towards an Electrical Engineering degree - prefer Power concentration

Technical Competencies:

Can read and understand basic technical manuals
Understand basic electrical circuits
Has the potential to read and understand complicated electrical drawings
Knows MS Office software

Behavioral Competencies:

Able to follow directions
Able to work in a union environment
Attention to detail
Logical, patient and questioning
