Developmental Intern - Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Location: Massena, NY, US

This select 12-week paid internship program begins June 2019 and ends August 2019.

Summary

The Instrumentation & Control Engineer intern will:

  • Work Multiple facility improvement projects & corrective maintenance activities aimed at developing an understanding of engineering projects from problem identification and design through successful completion.  
  • Assist the department personnel with project design review, construction and closeout.  Turnover activities will include the filing of key project documentation and development of future equipment maintenance activities within the Maximo system.
  • Participate in the Superintendent's weekly departmental team meeting.

  • Electrical Power and Protection & Control systems and equipment

  • Asset Management philosophy and software

Education, Experience and Certifications

Technical Competencies:

  • Electrical Theory/Engineering
  • Microsoft computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

  • A strong desire to learn
  • Willingness to operate as a member of a diverse and skilled team

Education Background:

  • Electrical Engineering student working toward their Bachelor's degree in at least their sophomore year.
