Associate Asset Information Analyst

Summary
Responsible for enterprise Asset Information and Data standards and the related systems of record. Also responsible for driving, refreshing, and prioritizing enterprise Asset Information strategy in alignment with Business Unit and enterprise vision. Socialize and advocate for the prioritization and assignment of resources to required asset information improvement activities and projects throughout the organization. #LI-VB1
Responsibilities
- Help close gaps identified within the Asset Information Strategy document by supporting the Asset Information roadmap.
- Facilitate data importance and frequency sessions.
- Work with software contractors on software upgrade implementation process and assist with/ provide recommendations regarding goals and objectives for meeting implementation requirements.
- Ensure data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with NYPA Information Technology and site Asset Management staff to maximize the capability of Asset Management tools.
- Analyze/audit existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities or gaps where new processes/controls are needed.
- Partner with senior team members to anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, prioritize and execute projects, and balance business needs vs. technical constraints.
- Support the spread of Asset Management culture at an enterprise-wide level and promote continuous improvement opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Practical knowledge of the Energy Industry from education or experience.
- Working-level technical skills and abilities related to Project Management methodologies, change control processes, administration of technical issues, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Asset Information/Data and related technologies, services, and practices.
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, IT, information science, GIS, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
Physical Requirements
- Up to 20% travel throughout New York State on an occasional basis.
- Ability to perform fieldwork in remote locations during all seasons.
- Fieldwork may require extensive foot travel over uneven terrain.
- Valid Drivers license

The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
