Lead RSA Archer Configuration Analyst

Summary

The RSA Archer Configuration Analyst is required to support and maintain NYPA’s Enterprise Governance Risk Compliance (eGRC) application and its related modules: Audit, Issue Management, Observation Module, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Internal Controls, Loss Management, Insurance, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Key Risk Indicators, Incident Management, and common libraries and integration to other tools, related but not limited to facilities applications, processes and devices. The position is necessary for coordinating and carrying-out recurring system maintenance activities such as changes in functionality (system configuration) to support NYPA’s business requirements and to ensure that such changes are appropriately tested within the constraints of the RSA Archer environment. This includes developing test plans and coordinating testing activities associated with the application of patches and system upgrades with end-users. #LI-JP1


The System Configuration Analyst will also have responsibility for troubleshooting problems, and to design, build and generate periodical dashboards and reports. In addition, the System Configuration Analyst will conduct data analysis, focus on process improvement and automation, and carry-out customer liaison activities where appropriate. This role is also responsible for planning and managing medium- to large-scale system development/implementation efforts. This includes managing end-user activities and making decisions related to design as appropriate, and delegating assignments staff as necessary in order to carry out project objectives The responsibilities and requirements of this role are specific to the RSA Archer system. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the transition of applications from implementation to post-implementation support, including gathering and facilitating business process discussions, solution design and documentation, configuration, testing, training, and end-user support in the system.
  • Configure and manage the system environment, access, and security.
  • Implement existing documents and procedures and integrate new business requirements with current system modules, setup workflows, and roles for existing and new modules.
  • Provide system design and configuration for the system and related module(s), which includes developing the conceptual design for solutions, making changes to system rules, formulas, algorithms and attributes; preparing and maintaining test scripts, transferring changes to quality assurance environment and testing changes to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support including responding to system incidents, troubleshooting, and executing corrective action.
  • Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions. Support changes to the existing system as needed. 
  • Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems
  • Develop reporting structures and business objects, including ad hoc queries and reports from the system
     

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, recommend, and implement best practice solutions that resolve business processes and system functionality.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on expertise with the system 
  • Strong knowledge of information systems analysis, design, development and testing activities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize, analyze, and resolve problem situations as effectively as possible.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability requiring a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration mindset with an ability to cultivate productive relationships with stakeholders, peers and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems analysis, design, development and testing activities.
     

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Computer Information Systems, Systems Engineering or related business discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience administering and working within the system environment. 
  • Experience designing, developing, testing and deploying system solutions in at least one of the relative systems modules. 

Preferred:

  • Experience as a system configurator working with big four consulting companies or directly with system developer 
  • Expert knowledge in more than one system module
