Temp Legal Analyst


White Plains, US


Opportunity to learn the energy industry by working with the Power Transmission & Regulatory group. This Temp Legal Analyst will conduct legal research, draft briefs, and provide overall support and assistance. #LI-CJ1


  • Responsible for legal research, analyzing regulations, and drafting memoranda of law.
  • Provide general litigation support and assistance to the Law Department attorneys for current legal and compliance matters.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Perform and document research to determine the rights and duties of the Authority in its various projects.
  • Interact with Authority departments to gain input for legal department cases.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel and other attorneys.

  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and deadlines.
  • Exacting attention to detail and ability to prioritize.

  • Ability to identify and analyze problems, develop solutions, and deliver results quickly and proactively.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access as well as the ability to learn new software and applications.
  • Work well within a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Ability to think creatively. 
  • Works well in a fast paced environment.

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Law school graduate planning to take the bar or awaiting admission 

Physical Requirements

Minimal travel within NY State
